Woo Tang

Amazing. I was feeling kind of loopy, and Annie was sleepy (but wide awake might I add) so I thought we could nap together on my bed. So I got her ready, pink fleece blanky that Jade got her, wrapped her up, soothy (pacifier) in. Went to check on soup. Came back and she was out. Ok, if you're not a parent you're thinking "so what" but to anyone who has had or who has a 4 month old baby who is just learning how to sleep on her own without being rocked or shushed or sang to or ... etc. etc. etc. Amazing.
so I didn't nap after all. I couldn't! I couldn't mess up this slice of heaven, this gift. So I decided to gloat about it on the blog.

So she can hold herself up now too, in fact she's actually not as lazy as I think she is and definitely not as lazy as I seem to be these days. She is either content on the floor kicking 100x/min or standing up --with some help of course. She's also trying this new shimmy around in a circle thing when she's on the floor. It reminds me of two things: 1) the dance that Homer Simpson does or 2) lunette the clown on the big comfy couch doing the clock stretch. Do you know or even remember who that is.. or was? maybe its a Canadian thing. Ok now i have to find a you-tube link: Here she be http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hqZoK1bq2hs . Hey I didn't endorse Lunette the clown as being a good role-model. Though, big comfy couch was one of my favorite shows growing up. mmm hmm.

She's also doing intense gooing sounds. I'm not quite sure why we imitate baby sounds as "goo goo gaa gaa" its completely more than that.. well maybe some babies say that but I haven't heard them. Annie definitely says "OOOOOOOOOO, OOOOWAAA, Aaaaa" and my favorite "EEEEE EEEWAAAA, OHHH" ... or when she said "Woo Tang" the other day. " WOO Tanggggg...." and to think she was only born in Oct. of last year! mmm hmmm.
