Haiku Night

Yes, Josh and I, instead of watching a movie or surfing the web decided to write Haiku's about our life. I'll start with Josh's Haiku and then do mine. Oh and a Haiku is a Japanese style poem that has 5 syllables, then 7, then 5 again.

about each other...

my one and only
my Canadian lover
a silly woman

big strong soft lover
his eyes met mine on the couch
obvious nose pick

about our "just friends" phase

years in Armory
silly coffee talk and laughs
people knew, not us

no awkward pauses
smiles and a long hug one night
many more to come

about a date we went on...

we watched a light film
a cheap Indiana Jones
bad cafe and soup

dasies boston cold
melting heart warm hands touching
pasta downstairs yum

about monkeys...

monkey in a bind
too many fruit trees today
I wanted cream pie

stinky naked butt
bananas all day and night
no banana bread

about pregnancy...

always ice cream dates
pretty wife no matter what
swollen feet and waist

burning heart and bum
moving, growing ball of love
always moist and hot

about labour/birth...

so long overdue
together through the long haul
baby stared at us

dim red light in dark
big safe love honest and deep
soul mates forever

then...

bright lights, hard to breathe
warm hands numb body waiting
beautiful angel

about Annie...

She pukes way too much
rosy cheeks light up the place
so happy she laughs

lovely sunshine girl
pee and puke on leg and boot
loud quiet sleeping girl

about our first time seeing Annie...

baby cries hello
not scared yet on either side
both think who are you?

big wide eyes that shine
our innocent darling babe
her fathers Who lip

about Annie...

bean to baby girl
smile to change our little world
snow suit fluffy pink

big chubby cheekies
snorting standing up chewing
toothless grin for me
